Solution focused hypnotherapy
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of ‘talking therapy’, that combines the use of psychotherapy with hypnosis. Hypnosis or ‘trance’ is a very natural, relaxing state, encouraged by using guided relaxation, where the mind can relax and then focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful. As a modern psycho-therapeutic approach, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses practical, structured and well-researched strategies to help people make significant and positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. Crucially, in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, therapists look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem).

Creative hypnotherapy & hypnoanalysis
The idea of such ways of working is to unravel psychic, stressful and traumatic experience in a creative way, utilising artistic expression for you to cast and interpret alongside imagery and symbolism. This approach typically involves delving deeper into past events to identify significant causes of current issues. This can be in the form of Gestalt role play, Parts therapy, drawing, painting, creative writing and letter writing. We will employ regression and inner-child methodology, to work together towards rehabilitation and healing. It is certainly not necessary for you to be in any way proficient or skilled at drawing or indeed art in general. An enthusiasm for making positive changes through alternative and dynamic ways is all that is required.

It is entirely understandable and reasonable for people to have doubts, preconceptions and apprehension towards things that are perhaps unfamiliar to them. This can be the case when considering hypnotherapy, especially when we have certain outcome expectations. Below is a brief overview of what to expect from your hypnotherapy journey.

This has no obligation and it's purpose will be to provide an opportunity for us to talk through briefly your feelings towards hypnotherapy, any questions you may have, what you would perhaps like to work on and to see if hypnotherapy is perhaps right for you.
Initial in-person consultation for hypnotherapy
During our time together in consultation, we'll start the work towards establishing clear, short and long term goals that you want to achieve with hypnosis and indeed in your daily life. Together, we will start to identify any blocks towards success and formulate a plan using techniques to manage and conquer them in a sustainable and realistic way.
Hypnotherapy sessions
Usually, therapy sessions occur once a week, and the number of sessions needed depends on the individual situation. Although we do not impose a specific number of sessions, I suggest committing to at least four sessions. This will provide a strong foundation and allow us to cover a range of techniques tailored to your specific needs. Hypno-analysis and creative analytical hypnosis sessions tend to run over a more extended period of time.
